Umar bin Khattab, the Khalifa of Islam Who is Feared by Satan

This is a picture of the Hell that Allah created according to Islam

Satan has various ways and forms to deceive humans. Whispers of the devil know no time and place, and his temptations come from different directions.

However, there is a figure that the devil fears the most. The figure is one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, namely Umar bin Khattab.

Umar is one of the four caliphs of Islam who has a firm and wise character. He was feared by the Quraysh at that time. He is also nicknamed Al-Faruq.

Before embracing Islam, Umar's severity was aimed at the spread of Islam and the Muslims. However, after embracing Islam at the age of about 27 years, Umar turned hard to the Kuffar. He defended the Prophet and Muslims valiantly.

Meanwhile, regarding the devil who is afraid of Umar, it was conveyed directly by the Prophet Muhammad. From Aisha, the Prophet said:

إن الشيطان يفرق من عمر بن الخطاب

Meaning: "Verily the devil runs away in fear when he meets Umar." (Narrated by Ibn 'Asakir)

In addition to this hadith, there is another hadith that the Prophet Muhammad said: "ya Ibn Al-Khattab, by Allah whose soul is in the grip of His hand, verily, Satan does not meet you while walking on a road unless he will seek another path that you do not go through. ."

Thus it is known that the devil is very afraid of the human figure named Umar bin Khattab. His authority was so bright, that the devil was very reluctant to meet him.

There are several reasons Satan is so afraid of Umar.

Here are 3 reasons Satan is afraid of Umar Bin Khattab:

1. Umar bin Khattab is a strong figure not only physically but has a very strong faith. Umar bin Khattab's faith in Allah and the Messenger of Allah was extremely strong.

2. Umar bin Khattab is a simple and humble figure. He is also a person who is not busy with worldly affairs. Umar was willing to go around looking for his poor people and give some of his wealth to the benefit of the Muslims.

3. Umar was one of the most beloved companions of the Prophet Muhammad. Umar was blessed with foresight and clarity of thought. Umar often gave ideas and ideas to the Prophet in several matters.

His genius complements the firmness and simplicity inherent in him. The Messenger of Allah then also praised Umar bin Khattab by saying he was one of those who were blessed by Allah because he often received inspiration.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu, that the Messenger of Allah said:

إِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ فِيمَا مَضَى قَبْلَكُمْ مِنَ الأُمَمِ مُحَدَّثُونَ، وَإِنَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ فِى أُمَّتِى هَذِهِ مِنْهُمْ، فَإِنَّهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ

Meaning: "Surely among those before you there were several people who were inspired. If one of my people gets it, then Umar bin Khattab will be the one." (Narrated by Bukhari)
