Why Is My Prayer Not Being Answered? The Dead Heart

Muslimcreed - Why, oh why, doesn’t Allah swt answer my prayers? This question plagues the mind of many a Muslim, and it can be very frustrating. In this article we’ll discuss one of the reasons why your prayers are not being answered: your heart’s deadness to Allah swt.

Let’s examine how to live with the hearts of believers so that we might receive what we desire from Allah swt in prayer.

What is the dead heart?

In Islam, the dead heart is defined as a heart that is devoid of any faith or belief. This can be caused by a number of things, such as leading a life of sin or engaging in activities that are harmful to the soul. A dead heart is unable to feel the presence of Allah and is unable to connect with Him.

As a result, prayers made by someone with a dead heart are not likely to be answered. There are a few things that can be done to revive a dead heart, such as repenting for past sins and making a sincere effort to lead a good life.

How can we live with a dead heart?

A dead heart is one that is devoid of love, hope, and compassion. It is a heart that has been hardened by the trials and tribulations of this world. A dead heart is unable to feel the pain of others or the joy of life.

It is a heart that has lost faith in Allah swt and His mercy. A dead heart is a heavy burden to carry, but it is not impossible to overcome. With Allah's grace and guidance, we can resurrect our dead hearts and live once again.

As Muslims, we are constantly surrounded by reminders of how Allah swt loves us. The Qur'an, our greatest treasure in Islam, is full of verses that speak about His love for us. Say: If you love Allah, follow me and Allah will love you (Qur'an 3:31).

We are instructed to show gratitude to Me and to your parents (Qur'an 31:14) and that Allah only desires to remove uncleanness far from you, O members of the family [of Muhammad], and to purify you with a thorough purification (Qur'an 33:33). How can we live with a dead heart when we are reminded of such great love on a daily basis?

How can we cleanse our hearts and allow Allah's light to fill it.

We can cleanse our hearts by repenting to Allah and asking for forgiveness. We need to be sincere in our repentance and have a firm resolve to not return to our sinful ways. We should also make an effort to increase our good deeds and act upon the knowledge we have.

Our hearts should be filled with hope, love, and mercy. And finally, we should remember that Allah is always with us and will never abandon us.

Think about our daily interactions with others, for example. We interact with people at work, school, and in public settings such as stores or restaurants. How do we treat them? Do we show them kindness and respect? Or do we allow greed to take over and become rude or impatient? Do we avoid interacting with those who don't share our beliefs or only spend time with those who think like us?

What if you have already cleansed your heart but don't see results.

There are a number of reasons why your prayers may not be answered. One possibility is that you have a dead heart. A dead heart is one that is not open to change or to receiving guidance from Allah swt. If your heart is closed off, then your prayers will not be answered. Another possibility is that you are not doing enough good deeds.

Remember, Allah swt knows what is in your heart and He knows whether or not you are sincere in your actions. If you want your prayers to be answered, make sure that your heart is open and that you are doing good deeds.

If you feel that you have cleansed your heart and are doing what Allah swt expects of you, then something else may be preventing Allah swt from answering your prayers. One common reason for unanswered prayers is envy. If a person prays to Allah swt for something that would make another person jealous, then it is possible that he will not get his prayer answered.

For example, if a man prays to Allah swt for more money but does not want his brother to know about it because he knows his brother will be jealous and upset about it, then there’s a good chance that his prayer will not be answered due to jealousy on his part.
